Exceptional We regularly frequent this exceptional place for several reasons: - Consistently smiling and kind welcome, - Magnificent setting in the old town of Vannes, - And of course, the cuisine of Thierry Seychelles, which is always subtle, inventive, and full of varied flavors. The cooking is perfect. Each plate is very nicely presented, - Lots of little touches and generosity that make the difference compared to other establishments of equivalent standing that are obsessed with maximum profitability and often forget that a customer is someone who will return if they feel well treated. Our "lobster" menu to celebrate our wedding anniversary was a total success. Thanks to this whole team of kind professionals. PS If the inspectors from the Red Guide come back to the Roscanvec, it is almost certain that Thierry Seychelles will get his well-deserved star back...Publié sur Tripadvisor

Nice experience in a gentle setting Very nice discovery of your initiation menu. Your à la carte options seemed very limited to us, especially the dessert menu, which is too simple. The table d'hôte menu would have appealed to us, but with 3 courses instead of 4. We had reserved for 7:45 PM, because the fatigue of the end of the week was going to be felt and we wanted to go home quite early. The service was slow and we waited for the bill for more than 25 minutes despite reminding the server. Nice experience for twoPublié sur Tripadvisor

Table d'hôte menu The meal was delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert, we really enjoyed it! Kudos to the chef and the kitchen team. The service was impeccable, we felt very well welcomed and the servers put us at ease very quickly (thanks for the oenology lesson and the bee costumes) We will come back as soon as possible to discover the other menus on the menu and the other headbands! A very nice place in Vannes We are travelers from Canada who are used to traveling and, let's say, quite demanding, and we usually stay in luxury hotels. After choosing Vannes as a base to discover the region, we were looking for an establishment offering something a bit more refined than a simple transit hotel, ideally with a level of comfort and service worthy of a five-star hotel. That is how we discovered Le Roscanvec. And it was an excellent surprise. Le Roscanvec is not really a hotel in the classic sense of the term. It is more between a boutique hotel and a guesthouse, with all the personal and warm touches that implies. The rooms are spacious (particularly appreciable by European standards), air-conditioned, and very comfortable. The whole place seems to have been renovated recently with great care. The perfectly soundproofed windows and the contemporary bathroom contribute significantly to the overall comfort. Our room had kept its original fireplace, which was nicely highlighted. The high ceilings and period features also give character to the whole, but it remains modern. But what truly sets Le Roscanvec apart is the hospitality. Carine and Sarah are absolutely charming: available, attentive, and efficient, with just the right amount of dry humor, which we particularly appreciated. We were, moreover, struck by their attention to detail. One of our hosts, having worked until very late Saturday night, still served us breakfast at 8 a.m. the next morning, simply because we had to leave early. It is these little touches, ultimately, that make all the difference. The breakfast was also hearty and of high quality. We took great pleasure in enjoying it every morning in the backyard garden, a particularly pleasant and peaceful spot. We also dined twice at the restaurant and greatly enjoyed both experiences. Special mention for their house cocktail, which we particularly liked. The menu is interesting, the service is both professional and friendly, and the whole place enjoys a rather elegant atmosphere without ever being stuffy. The building that houses the restaurant appears to be a former private mansion. It notably features a courtyard facing the street and, as the building is set back slightly, you enjoy quite remarkable quiet given the location, right in the city center. And let’s talk about the location, another of the Roscanvec’s assets. Everything is nearby: restaurants, shops, the historic center, the old town, and the marina. To discover Vannes on foot, it’s hard to ask for much better. The establishment also serves as an excellent starting point for exploring the Gulf of Morbihan, Carnac, and the surrounding area. It is therefore a particularly convenient address for staying several days in the region without having to change hotels. We also appreciated that Le Roscanvec offered us a parking space nearby, which is a real plus when traveling by car. In the end, our few-day stay at the Roscanvec was a very lovely discovery. The establishment is charming, remarkably well-located, and, above all, it benefits from a team that truly contributes to the quality of the experience. Obviously, we are not at the Four Seasons, and that is not what Le Roscanvec claims to be, anyway. But if you are looking for an address in Vannes with character, that is comfortable, elegant, very well-located, and benefits from particularly attentive service, it is hard to ask for much better. We will return there with great pleasure and recommend this address without the slightest hesitation.Charger plus
